Uma das minhas músicas favoritas deste ano é sem dúvidas Painkiller. A música não saiu da minha cabeça, da minha boca e tocou todos os dias no meu carro no curto trajeto que faço para o trabalho, e também não saiu dos meus fones de ouvido desde que foi lançada. A atmosfera, a melodia e principalmente a letra que me consigo ter empatia e me identificar com o que é expressado desde as primeiras linhas “I think my head needs something medical / I let you treat me like an animal / You say you want me but you let me go / But I’m addicted to you” e com o grudento refrão “I know you’re not normal but I love you / Why can’t you love me like I want you to? / All I get is heartbreak, all I get is heartbreak”.
Outra música que destaco é a faixa que encerra o trabalho, Hard Pill To Swallow: “Never thought you’d be the one to do me like you did / And that’s a hard pill to swallow / My stomach dropped when you told me that you don’t love me back / And now my broke heart is hollow / I needed you to water me instead you fucked me up and made me pay”.
